To think dh should get checked? Temperature low

Dh is in his 60s and tested his temperature today and it was 34.6. He said he felt great. Mine was normal on testing.

I said he should make an appointment or at least speak to someone about it.

I'm really worried. Am at work so can't nag him.

If he feels ok why would he need to be checked? Ask him to test again. Might have just been a blip

what type of thermometer is he using? if its user tongue had he recently had a drink ? older people do often have slightly lower temps too.

incognitomum · 24/04/2020 16:23

No he hadn't had a drink he'd been for a long walk with ds2.

He tested a few times.

Has he had his temp taken before?

We got a thermometer and took DH...it was 35.something. he's taken it daily since and never got above 36.... I figure he just has a lower temp than me/the average.

It is an under tongue one...but his work has a forehead infrared one and that was the same.

nonevernotever · 24/04/2020 17:20

I would not worry. My temp is normally anywhere etween 34.6 and 36.2, but more often at the lower end, while dh is consistently at least a degree warmer. I've seen suggestions on Google that scientists now think core body temperature for humans is now lower than it used to be

LakieLady · 24/04/2020 17:22

My temp rarely gets above 36, and it only makes 37 when I feel unwell.

If he feels ok, I wouldn't worry.

Thanks all he said it's 36.5 now...phew!
