What is your favourite kind of weather?

I’m incredibly fair skinned and can’t sit out in my garden at the moment without burning to a crisp even with factor 50 on. It’s 20 degrees here but feels more like 30.
My ideal weather is when it’s about 12 degrees but dry and sunny so I can sit outside with a jumper on. My DP prefers it to be scorching hot and he loves visiting his mum in Thailand where it gets up to 40 degrees during their hottest months. He gets miserable in the winter here.
How do you like it best?

Hot enough for shorts/tees, not so hot that I've got under-boob sweat, thank you very much!

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 24/04/2020 18:46

I hate the cold with a passion. Specifically wind. I love sunny warm days, temperature low twenties so you can be outside in shorts and t shirt or exercise. Any hotter is too hot!

Purplequalitystreet · 24/04/2020 18:48

This. Sunny and warm but not scorching hot. Now if I could just go on a day trip to the beach or countryside that would be great!

WaktiWapnasi · 24/04/2020 18:54

I like sunny with a smattering of clouds and a light breeze. Warm enough not to need a coat but cool enough not melt (which as a fair skinned person, does not take much).

Dry and cold. I feel cheated that we had so few cold winter days. I hate the summer.
The heat makes me very grumpy. I think I have SAD in reverse.

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 24/04/2020 20:10

I think I have SAD in reverse.
Yes!
Heat, sun & pollen all make me miserable individually the combination is grim - I have honestly wonder if it’s linked to histamine levels.

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 24/04/2020 20:12

I mean the misery linked to histamine - I am so irritable in this weather! A good pour down & I’m better Grin

MarshaBradyo · 24/04/2020 20:14

Sunny, warm to hot.

snowybean · 24/04/2020 20:16

Blue sky, sunlight at 11am, midsummer, gentle breeze, 28°C.

PhoneLock · 24/04/2020 20:19

Warm and sunny. 30-40°C.

stopandListen · 24/04/2020 20:19

20-22 clear sky light winds, can't stand it when it gets too hot, especially at nighttime.

when people say "the hotter the better" I have murderous thoughts.

Also love a cold bright day but detest rain.

Honeyroar · 24/04/2020 20:20

Love this current weather. It’s lovely and warm but not too warm for the dogs or horses and there aren’t any flies yet. It feels like breathing out after winter! I love autumn for the same reason and adore the colours, but winter and all the hard work that goes with it (looking after the horses and living rurally) is looming, so autumn also makes me a little down!

pussycatinboots · 24/04/2020 20:20

Snow,
then hail,
then rain,
then wind,
then cloudy with a mix of some/all of the above,
then everything else,
then sun Grin sorry

NerosFiddle · 24/04/2020 20:22

About 8/9 degrees and dry. Hate hot weather. Anything above 15 degrees is too much for me.

BogRollBOGOF · 24/04/2020 21:47

Today was perfect. Clear blue skies, gentle refreshing breeze, the glow of sun on my skin. T-shirt weather. Not too hot to want to move around outside. Low humidity.

Any sunshine is good. There aren't enough clear, sunny, frosty days in the winter. It's the relentless grey that I struggle to cope with.

The weather from July to March was utterly abysmal. It's been wonderful to not have to check the drip pan in the loft every couple of days so the roof doesn't leak through the house. It was too fucking wet to get the roofers in after the extent of the problem was identified in October (major floods a few weeks later), and it's still not a practical time for major critical works.

ilovesooty · 24/04/2020 21:50

Hot and sunny.

Bella2020 · 24/04/2020 21:53

No more than 20°C, cloudless and bright blue skies, a gentle breeze. Perfect! The better weather helps my arthritis, too.

CherryPavlova · 24/04/2020 21:56

I like variety.
I love ‘iceberg lettuce days’ cool, crisp, clear skies; perfect for a long walk across the Downs.
I love too ‘hot to breathe’ weather in the Middle East, where a warm sea or pool is close enough to plop in and out of.
I love deep, silent snowy weather and making snow angels in virginal, white fields.
I love ravaging thunderstorms with lightening crackling across the sea or huge raindrops pounding on the roof.

It’s the seasonal weather that makes the UK perfect.

Alsohuman · 24/04/2020 21:56

Today was perfect.

duckme · 24/04/2020 22:08

This weather has been lovely for me. Or snow. I can't cope in extreme heat and rain is just depressing.

MegaClutterSlut · 24/04/2020 22:14

I like this time of year when the day is warm and the nights are chilly. Summer is my worse season

TSSDNCOP · 24/04/2020 22:15

I like it so warm that you go out in a bra, pants, dress and flip flops.

GarlicSoup · 24/04/2020 22:17

Snow ⛄️ ❄️ 🌨

OhYouBadBadKitten · 24/04/2020 22:20

Thunderstorms Grin

Tumbleweed101 · 24/04/2020 22:21

I’m enjoying the weather we have right now. Lots of sunshine and time in the garden without it being too hot.
