Just a sprain right?

So I slipped down the stairs yesterday and landed funny on my foot 🙄 hurt like hell when I did it, it seems a bit better now and only hurts when I walk on it. OH thinks I need to go get it checked out, as other bones I have broken or injured have barely swelled and never bruised! He's nagging me to go and I don't want to. AIBU telling him I won't go? It doesn't look so bad to me? Apologies for the horrible pictures of my feet 🙈

Call 111 and if they direct you to a&e go. I was in and out in 45 mins last week including an X-ray after I fell in my garden. You have to call 111 to get a referral though, you can’t just take yourself in at the moment. Hope it isn’t serious.

You know you need to go!

memememe · 23/04/2020 16:28

i think that needs an xray

Couscousy · 23/04/2020 16:31

Ouch! A sprain can swell, bruise and hurt more than a break (personal experience...) BUT you do need an X-Ray. Def call 111 as PP have advised!

You need an X-Ray. No one will be able to tell you if you have a fracture just by looking at it externally.

DD1 went did something similar a couple of weeks before lockdown - she had a small fracture and needed to wear a plastic boot for a few weeks then have some physio sessions.
