Are cyclists allowed to be on a 50mph dual carriageway that leads towards a roundabout to get onto the M6

Is it not dangerous?

Cyclists can go on dual carriageways. But it seems very stupid to do so

The only roads cyclists are not allowed to use are Motorways.
There are some areas where cyclists have no choice, but to use Dual Carriage way. Horses and carriages can also use dual carriage ways.
