Is this chickenpox?

My dd, 2, has had some spots appearing on her legs over the last few days. They start off like pimply blisters but there's no head or puss (sorry) if I gently squeeze them. They're not bothering her and she is fine in herself.
Then yesterday i found a cluster on her should as i was getting her changed. Today they're more like open spots.
We've been isolating for 6 weeks so no idea where this has come from if it is chicken pox.

Any ideas?

my DS had similar not too long ago and had already had chicken pox so I knew it wasn't them. Doctor said it was viral and if he is well not too worry. They have left little slight marks on him.

That's the most worrying thing about this at the minute, if it is viral how the hell could she have caught something when we're completely isolated. I wash the shopping down, no one leaves or comes in the house.
I know chicken pox is airborne and our garden is about 20 feet away from a path so if she was really unlucky I suppose that's a possibility but still, must be a minute chance.

Hand foot and mouth is similar to chicken pox and can give them spots everywhere but there are more clusters around where the name suggests plus genitals. I think it has a longer incubation period as well

The itching has started today guys! Sent some photos to our gp so hopefully get a callback today to see what they think?

Didn't mean to end that with a question mark. Smile

My DS came down with Chickenpox on Easter Sunday, it had been almost 4 weeks since he left the house I couldn't believe it and like you have been cleaning everything coming into the house. However he had it end of Feb very mild so it may have still been in his system. NHS advise you can get it twice is you dont built up enough of an immunity through a mild case. So I'm hoping it was just lingering in his system from the early dose.

DONT SQUEEZE THEM

What was it OP?

Banana0pancakes · 25/04/2020 20:48

No I'm not sure either. She's been scratching but not excessively. Temp has been upto 37.3, higher than normal but not a fever. Looser than usual poop. My DS has 2 spots that look the same now on his leg, so either they're being bitten by invisible bugs or it's some kind of viral infection. Our GP was supposed to ring yesterday so will have to chase up on monday. Doesn't bode well for my lockdown defences though.
