Close family member has returned after living abroad - repatriation flight home.

Since returned, they have ignored the social distancing rules and have gone out/seen friends. This has been displayed on social media.

I have said something to family member. No one else has but tell me I am being unreasonable and should stay out.

AIBU?

Nope - YANBU. An acquaintance of mine constantly posts on SM her ‘quarantine’ updates - she spends half the week at her house, half the week at her parents (even though her mum is recovering from breast cancer). Every weekend she hosts quarantine sleepovers for her friends....
She works for the NHS.... makes me so cross that I have now blocked all her posts......

Why do they feel that the lockdown rules don’t apply to them? Even if they hadn’t just returned from abroad, they are still forbidden to go out socialising with people who do not live in their household.
Tell them they can be fined by the police - that might give the stupid selfish virus spreader pause for thought!

Alternatively you could post on FB how concerned you are about the risks they are causing and taking.

@Thegreatfruittheft I have done the same. Since found out that family member has gone to a BBQ today.

@Babdoc I tried this and got a load of abuse saying I was nasty and controlling. I really don’t understand people.
