Sorry this not an AIBU but anyway....

AIBU to be so pleased with myself to be able to say I am 39 days sober today??

Last year I started drinking far too much, nearly destroyed my marriage. Started AA just before lockdown and am now 39 days sober. I have posted before under another name when I was struggling.

YANBU and very well done! I’m struggling to kick the booze and was shocked listening to the radio today around 450pm on a Tuesday with the DJ saying “it’s now wine time” and people going on about drinking cocktails in the morning during lockdown! I appreciate not everyone has a problem with alcohol but the promotion and normalisation of drinking as a support mechanism doesn’t help.

If you don’t mind be asking @Sobermum90, how did you do it?

YA def NBU! Well done. I don’t drink huge amounts but more of a little and far too often, every night currently, which is still problematic. I keep thinking of having a dry month, but immediately talk myself out of it, as it’s so-and-so’s birthday/Christmas/More than 15 days in the month. Must try harder here.

That's amazing, 39 days sober would have been a difficult enough thing to achieve in normal times, let alone with the added stresses of lockdown. Be proud!

That’s amazing! I’m 10 years sober thanks to AA and have been thinking about how I’d have coped in early days lock down. The changed routine, the excuses. 😫 I’m really impressed! Are you doing online AA?
