I've been helping her from work, but I've kept in touch with a few colleagues just so we all stay in the loop.

One colleague is a much older man, and over lockdown will often send me random pics of things - his dog, his garden etc . Yesterday he sent me a photo of two bees mating. I said 'must be due to spring season, as I saw two pigeons doing the same thing earlier, and that poor male bee is likely to die afterwards.'

He then said 'hope I don't come back as a bee in the next life then... you will kill me!'

This morning he's just sent me a message saying 'are the pigeons back?' Which I've ignored.

AIBU to think he's a pigeon pervert lol, or in all seriousness just a bit strange to be so fascinated by animals mating? Or would you take it as just harmless chat?

Sounds like he's trying to flirt

HoneysuckIejasmine · 21/04/2020 09:36

I'd not engage with him unless it's about work I think.

MrsEricBana · 21/04/2020 09:38

Yep, inappropriate flirting. Keep it to work chat.

pickingdaisies · 21/04/2020 09:38

Eeurrggghh.

WhyCantIThinkOfAGoodOne · 21/04/2020 09:38

Sounds like he's just a bit of an oddball and maybe a bit lonely. It could be a cack handed attempt to flirt too who knows.

**Sounds like he's trying to flirt

^This. But doing it badly, and in a bit of a weird way. I'd ignore it.

Speedqueen2 · 21/04/2020 09:39

No YANBU he is a perv and his comment 'you will kill me' is a come on. Eurghhh.... ignore him from now on!

Oldraver · 21/04/2020 10:16

I would shut it down with.... the bee comment was inappropriate etc

Do not allow him to say "ooh sorry if I offended you, I ws only joking". Just repeat the comment was inappropriate
