Toilet roll challenge

Howlongwillthistake · 20/04/2020 10:28

AIBU to think that it's not a difficult task to put the used rolls on the bin.
DH now works from home as to being away all week, DD back from university and I've just realised unless I do certain tasks they just don't get done....
I'm hanging on to see how long this is gonna take... 😬

Haha! Leave them there and see what their next moves will be

NekoShiro · 20/04/2020 10:46

Hahaha I'm in the bathroom looking at my own toilet roll challenge right now :) ty for the smile

JorisBonson · 20/04/2020 10:58

Mine does that too 🤬🤬 I put them in his rucksack.

AdoptedBumpkin · 20/04/2020 11:00

You could always leave them on the toilet seat as a hint. Wink

lemontreebird · 20/04/2020 11:12

They probably think they're being tidy, leaving them there!

nightswimmers · 20/04/2020 11:15

I just cracked and cleared away 3 toilet rolls. Am also sweeping floors. I was hoping someone would help but...

Undies1990 · 20/04/2020 11:16

Hmmm, looks familiar! Hold your ground and don't give in. I reckon the penny will drop in another week or so. Good luck 😉

RoomForMore · 20/04/2020 11:17

I love the idea of putting them in your DH's rucksack Grin

Don't forget the superglue

Lightuptheroom · 20/04/2020 11:18

I have a DH an 18yr old DS and a 24 yr old DSS who ALL do this, which has always irritated me but is now downright annoying

TheBabyAteMyBrain · 20/04/2020 11:21

My brothers would do this back home. They would even fold and squash them to pile them behind the radiator. Why?!

EricaNernie · 20/04/2020 11:21

same here,
when i was a teenager i used to chuck them out of the window, into the garden Blush

Sahara123 · 20/04/2020 11:42

Mine goes one further and leaves the last few sheets on the roll, and starts on a new one..........

WhatATimeToBeAlive · 20/04/2020 11:59

Why not IN the bin, or was that a typo?

AdaColeman · 20/04/2020 12:04

You need to up the game a notch ~ hide the toilet rolls! Grin

LEELULUMPKIN · 20/04/2020 12:04

God that's lazy.

Montybojangles · 20/04/2020 12:05

Maybe he’s saving them Up to make a few of these while he’s sitting there....

This drives me nuts, my stepkids do it. I make them come back and put them in the bin. Not so easy with your husband without being very parent/child!

NoMorePoliticsPlease · 20/04/2020 12:07

The opening of a toilet roll conversation has brought to muy notice the shocking amount of toilet paper people get through. I am amazed the drains arent all blocked

Thighdentitycrisis · 20/04/2020 12:12

This is why I’m glad to live alone!

Thighdentitycrisis · 20/04/2020 12:13

You could start a general conversation about recycling?

PenguinsOnParade · 20/04/2020 13:47

Try not to crack and just do it yourself. I fail every time.

One time I tried making them all into a tower to make them more obvious. The DC thought it was hilarious and just kept adding to it themselves.

ElloElloVera · 20/04/2020 14:08

I once left a lone sock on the landing floor for a week as an experiment. You had to step over it as you passed. Nobody in a whole week thought to pick it up. Heathens the lot of them.

StrawberrySquash · 20/04/2020 14:13

I currently have 10 lined up by my loo. I live alone. I don't bin them, I put them in the recycling so they have to move rooms. I'm happy to do a bunch at once. But I guess your issue is you are always the one to do that job. So I have mixed feelings on unreasonableness!

In my old flat I used to shove them in a hidden corner behind a vase. Meant I had a nice stash when the toddler upstairs wanted some to make a robot!

MumW · 20/04/2020 14:16

Shh, don't tell let on but I've stopped making DH a cuppa everytime I make one for myself - he's beginning to become entitled and expecting me to run around at his beck and call.
