To just want a good night's sleep

I'm honestly shattered. Haven't slept for more than three hours for the last four or five nights. I'm having really awful nightmares and once I'm awake I can't get back to sleep.

This isn't helped by the fact that for the last two nights, a pair of idiots on quad bikes have been racing around the fields near my house. Last night they set a fire and spent ages chucking spray cans in it. Police and fire brigade called but the fuckers had gone by the time they got here. It was 4am when I finally got to sleep and then I was awake again at 6:30 because I'd had another fucking nightmare (about a massive swarm of flies eating everything.)

Was going to try napping this afternoon but my neighbour is doing DIY and the noise is constant. 😭😭☹️☹️☹️

Thanks. Did think about one but I have a cat who sleeps on me and I think it would be too much.

Ear plugs and an eye mask and ..no coffee from lunch time onwards.it's horrid being overtired and not being able to sleep.

Sympathies OP, Have you tried getting up when you wake up and force yourself to stay away until the next bedtime. I've had to do this recently to re-set myself (although you do feel like you have jet-lag the next day).
Is the field owner contactable to keep the gate locked?
I have also tried weighted blanket but found it gave me knee pain and lumped up in the middle.

Yeah once I'm awake I get up. No point staying in bed because I can't get back to sleep.

I stopped drinking coffee a while ago and don't really drink any pop apart from the odd can of coke.

I'm assuming it's anxiety based but I don't feel stressed though the day. 🤷🏻‍♀️
