I meant to take some soluble co-codamol but somehow the Milton sterilizing tablets ended up in the same box!!! Took 4 big chugs before I realised!!! Scared I'm gonna die :(

I would call 111 to get advice. It's not the best thing to swallow. Also look up MSDS on line, it will advise action to be taken if ingested.

Do call 111 for advice, it's bleach but very weak and I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it can be used for sterilizing drinking water in emergency situations, however I am not sure where that memory came from.

I thought you could add Milton to water to make it drinkable? Not that I’m recommending that people start trying that at home.

I think you can use it to sterilize water(I'm not losing it after all) but very dilute.

I did EXACTLY the same as you op only it was years ago I did go to the hospital they didn't do anything only while I was there I had to sprint to the loo and only just got there in time iykwim. Having said that I think you should give 111 a call.

Used to add Milton to the water tank on my narrow boat to sterilise the drinking water. Not the worst thing to drink, just keep an eye on yourself.

When you use it to sterilise water, you aren't putting a couple of tablets in a glass of water, you are putting it in a large volume of water, what the OP drank is pretty concentrated!

This has got to be a wind up. We use Milton for the baby’s bottles and it bloody stinks of bleach. You’re saying you took four massive gulps of it before you a) noticed the smell and b) noticed the taste?
