Weak pelvic floor

ambereeree · 18/04/2020 12:17

I've realized after having 2 children-youngest is 2 my pelvic floor is very weak. I leak when sneezing and feel a heavy sensation bearing down-almost like when I was pregnant.
Has anybody managed to strengthen theirs? Any tips?
I've started keegels.
I was lazy about them during and after pregnancy.
Thanks all

My kids are 9 and 7 and I still have to cross my legs when I sneeze or in a coughing fit as do most of my mum friends. Not helpful advice I know but just wanted to let you know you're not alone

It's good to know mustbethewine. Have you tried the exercises?

I had an electric gadget Kegel8 that worked.

There's a good app from the NHS to help with the exercises

Kegels may be exactly the wrong thing to do.

So squats and keegels. Hope these work!
