Delivery Pass payment taken but no delivery slots available

AIBU to be annoyed that Morrison’s have taken the charge for my delivery pass when they consistently have queues to website in excess of 14 minutes and then no delivery slots available.
I understand the demand for delivery slots has increased dramatically but they have charged me for a service they cannot deliver.
I have cancelled future payments and thought this one wasn’t due until June so hadn’t cancelled it which was my fault.
Still annoyed though.

Asda have done it to me as well. I'm cancelling my delivery pass. Its ridiculous. Luckily I can get to shops and do my food shopping, but it is frustrating that they're continuing to charge for a service that's unavailable.

I think that's unfair if you can't get a slot. I have a delivery pass with Tesco and they're not charging me for it whilst this is ongoing because they said they couldn't guarantee if I'd be able to get slots.

Tesco sent out an email a couple of weeks ago saying they were suspending delivery saver subscription charges as slots were not readily available.

But Tescos market share/profit is much higher than the others so they are more likely to be able to easily absorb the loss.

You can request a refund on the Ocado website. I've not used them throughout this because we're well enough to be able to do a supermarket shop, but won't ask for a refund because once lockdown is over I'll go back to them. They're generally great - if they've struggled during Covid-19 I'm not going to hold it against them.
