To at least expect acknowledgment of a piece of work?

I don’t know if I am or not.

New manager around 6 months ago. Last week she asked me to complete a piece of work for her as she had a few days off. I should note this isn’t something I would do, it was work she is expected to produce for her managers.

I completed it on time and emailed across to her. No acknowledgement, no feedback, no nothing. This happens all the time and I don’t know if I’m being U expecting anything. Obviously I don’t expect thanks and praise for every piece of work I do all day, but something big like this I would at least expect an acknowledgement or feedback positive or negative!

Just ask for the feedback. Ask if it was okay.

Of course it's rude. I'd expect at least acknowledgement if the work was your responsibility anyway let alone if you were doing it as a favour. I'd probably stop doing favors for people who aren't grateful.
