Should I book for a festival happening at the end of August?

There is a festival happening at the end of August with camping and/or caravan style accommodation. If you book earlier it's cheaper.

On their website they are saying they don't know if it will be going ahead at the moment, but they will be updating as they find out more.

They say if you book and it is cancelled, they will refund your ticket. Or, they will roll your ticket over for the festival being held next year.

I want to book, but I am also thinking well it will probably be cancelled, and it is good to keep money in the bank at the moment!

What do you think?

YABU - don't book!
YANBU - yes, book if you like

I’d say there is no chance whatsoever of a festival happening in August! The Edinburgh international festival held every August has been cancelled along with so many other events. I’d save your money!

Of course it won't happen. Are you living in a parallel universe?

MrsEricBana · 17/04/2020 22:43

That's a no then 😂

There’s serious talk of there being no more live gigs or festivals until Autumn 2021 Sad

I wouldn't OP.

I'm meant to be going to Alton Towers in August and booked just before all of this kicked off because the hotel had deals going. I'm just waiting on it being formally cancelled/closed.

It's more about 'booking' for next year I guess.

The only reason I am debating it is because of the roll over to tickets for next year, and because tickets are cheaper if you book now.

I am 100% certain it will not happen this year!

Am v happy with all the YABUs!

Yes, I like the money in the bank option these days.

No

Are you mad?! If the organisers go bust you'll lose all the money. Keep your money in your bank account!
