AIBU - in-laws

AIBU to think it’s rude when my sister in laws whisper to each other & make private jokes and show each other messages on their phone to each other and don’t include me in any of it? The jokes may have nothing to do with me but is it not common courtesy to not just do that in front of other people? It makes me feel so uneasy and left out.

why are you allowing their immaturity to bother you? Just ignore them.

Jupiters · 17/04/2020 22:33

It's not nice of them, but be the bigger person and rise above it.

WorraLiberty · 17/04/2020 22:35

Is there a backstory?

Livelovebehappy · 17/04/2020 22:41

Not happened though recently? With social distancing and all that. I actually find the silver lining in all this is not having to socialise with extended family. Less drama.

TheSmallAssassin · 17/04/2020 22:54

Are they the sisters of your husband? Or the wives of your brothers?

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 17/04/2020 22:56

When it's just 3 of you? Rude.
More people? Not rude

BackforGood · 17/04/2020 23:29

I'd need more information before being able to judge.

We live together in one house. Brothers sisters. Have had issues before where they have been talking about me behind my back

Why are you living together? Sounds like fresh hell
