If Im transferring 1606.33GB of used memory over to a new server and I need the new server to have 25% empty capacity what sum do I use to work out how much more capacity I need?
I'm brain dead today.

So the 1606GB needs to account for 75% of the server. Divide it by 75, and times it by 100. (2141.77)

I think I tried that but let me try again, so hard to wfh with a 3yo about 😣

It worked! Thank you. God knows what I was doing. Both my dh and I were trying to figure that out for ages. I promise we're usually relatively intelligent.

75% * X = 1606.33
X=1606.33/75%

"p%" means "p/100"

Sp X=1606.33/(75/100)
=1606.33*100/75
= 2141.77

Or, assuming you are using a calculator that only does basic arithmetic, X=1606.33/0.75.

If using a spreadsheet, you could just type "1606.33/75%"

Actually I've just typed the latter into google seach bar, and it does the calculation for you. So you don't even need a spreadsheet/calculator.

I was using a spreadsheet then converting into a chart.
All sorted now Smile
Now to entertain the poor neglected child for a while.
