Long story short - partner of a year, openly admitted has seen a mistress in past. Before my time, none of my business.

Someone along those lines, could be her, came up as a suggested contact on Instagram. Partner has been liking and posting the odd comment here and there.

AIBU to have the hump?

Have you asked him who she is?

Crackerscheesescabbyknees · 16/04/2020 13:48

You don't know who she is. Ask him who she is. Then get or do not get the hump accordingly.

heartsonacake · 16/04/2020 13:48

Of course YABU. Your partner can comment and like anyone’s photos; you shouldn’t be attempting to control that by being angry at him for it.

Floatyboat · 16/04/2020 13:50

Is she attractive? His type?

OhLook · 16/04/2020 13:50

Do you mean some kind of BDSM mistress? Or he had an affair?

Imboredinthehouse · 16/04/2020 13:51

Yes YABU.

Jupiters · 16/04/2020 13:53

Mistress as in other women or BDSM?

ButtWormHole · 16/04/2020 13:55

lol YABU

SeriouslyRetro · 16/04/2020 13:56

He’s had an affair in the past? I’d say that’s your business as it lets you know the character of the man now.

user1848585969699 · 16/04/2020 14:17

BDSM mistress. When single. Attractive, 100% his type.

Not trying to control who/what he looks at.

Just trying to decide if what I'm feeling is unreasonable.

At the end of the day, he can do what he wants really. It's up to you whether it's something you want to be associated with.

user1848585969699 · 16/04/2020 14:20

Also have not mentioned this at all - seems I should live and let live

OP posts:
OhLook · 16/04/2020 14:23

No I don't think you need live and let live if you don't want to. Personally I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with anyone who had kinks like that because it would inevitably have an effect on our relationship as I'm not vaguely interested in that stuff. You don't have any right to tell h what to do though and if that's what he likes then I'm sure it would be unlikely to change at your request anyway.
