Apologies if I seem insensitive in the current climate moaning about work - I know I am lucky to not be affected by the current crisis yet.
I am a key worker and it’s been all hands to the pump and we have all been doing different roles as and when required.
We don’t usually work weekends but we have been asked to (not an expectation).
Full timers can take the weekend work back as toil/flexi (when as we have all just got our years allocation of holiday that no one knows when they are going to use, and others have already had to cancel leave so when will we realistically take our toil back is unknown).
Flexi and Toil often gets lost as we can’t take it often anyway.
Part timers will get paid time and a half for the extra weekend hours.
While I want to be flexible and help out wherever possible I am not up for working at the weekend for free basically....and there seems a huge disparity between the compensation between full time workers and part time workers.
