To feel a bit self conscious for not having social media?

Not really an AIBU I guess. DH and I are in our mid to late twenties, and neither of us have any social media accounts (except a dormant Facebook account). We've also never had them to begin with. I've not thought about it much until recently, and now I'm feeling that perhaps I'm weird?

Both of us are really techy and spend most of our lives on the internet, so it's not that I don't know how to use it. Sometimes my friends look at me like I'm an alien. Is not having social media that unusual for someone my age?

I only use Mumsnet. Dsis was showing me some people she follows on Instagram, she wants everything they advertise.
It would depress me as I couldn't afford the stuff so I'm happy on my no SM bubble.

I used to be on Twitter, not any more; account left abandoned in cyper space. I cba to set up facebook or maintain it and certainly wouldn't want to enter intl the whole 'on Facebook last night' drama. I use whatsapp and Instagram but insta only to follow celebs and news and alittle pinterest. That's it.

I was thinking of rejoining Facebook it has been 5 years. I had cousins etc as facebook friends I miss their updates at times. We only hear or see each other now if someone dies.
