Are you still letting your kids play out with neighbours kids? Seems to be in my neighbourhood the kids are carrying on as normal, and out on the streets together. Mine are home as I won’t allow it.

I have read from scientific reports that the virus can live on any kind of surface (paper metal wood concrete shoes clothes people) for 120 days so you really should not be touching or going near your children or anyone in your household.

Bubblebu · 14/04/2020 18:23

In fact even to even think about going outside your front or back door is deeply irresponsible of you to the wider community - not even into your front or back garden. Ridiculous and selfish!!

Bubblebu · 14/04/2020 18:27

TwoZeroTwoZero

they are talking across gardens.

Where do you live because I would like to report you to the police.

As I would like to report all mumsnetters who are allowing their children out of the front or back door.

Selfish irresponsible - SAVE OUR NHS.

nanny3 · 14/04/2020 18:56

NO

TwoZeroTwoZero · 14/04/2020 19:04

I apologise unreservedly for my foolishness and irresponsibility @Bubblebu and will pm you my address. I shall expect a visit from P.C. Plod shortly. Wink

MyNameHasBeenTaken · 14/04/2020 19:35

Dd "plays" with her friend next door
Each in their own garden.
They tell silly jokes and race up and down.
The hedge is over a meter thick and very spiky so they wont get close.

LolaLollypop · 14/04/2020 19:36

@Bubblebu your local police service must be run ragged with you reporting everyone you see waving to eachother across the garden/park/street.

caringcarer · 14/04/2020 19:39

No kids playing out where we are. The only time we see other kids is on Thursdays at 8pm.

TheBouquets · 14/04/2020 19:45

When I went out to walk I saw a group of teenage girls on bikes heading down the path to the woods, then I saw a group of boys on bikes again heading down the same path. I seriously doubt if they could all be the same family group.
It must be really hard for the parents of teenagers just now. One of those boys must have been at least 6 feet in height. How can a mother be expected to physically restrain a 6 feet tall male?
I think the teenagers must be going stir crazy by now especially with raging hormones

Bubblebu · 14/04/2020 19:52

LolaLollypop

I would only report to police because people on mumsnet tell me I should do that....

Bubblebu · 14/04/2020 19:53

TheBouquets

do not post that on mumsnet.

You will be crucified.

Somevampsarehot · 14/04/2020 19:57

No! And we literally live next door to my kids best friends. They talk over the very tall garden wall to each other, and play games online together using headsets. It's very sweet actually.

HariboLectar · 14/04/2020 20:13

@Pickles89 report them, our local force has a website where you can report anonymously

TheBouquets · 14/04/2020 20:16

@Bubblebu What bit wont be liked? Probably all of it but it is best to get the truth out there. Teenagers are out there and doing what teenagers do. We were all teenagers once

NoIDontWatchLoveIsland · 14/04/2020 20:22

I haven't seen this at all.

We live in a little cup de sac. My drive and my neighbour opposite have a road about 4m between. My toddler plays on our drive, the kids opposite are sometimes on theirs, there's an occasional shout across, but they are always supervised and not allowed off their own drives.

Starlightstarbright1 · 14/04/2020 20:25

Nope but there are children in our street who are.

Bubblebu · 14/04/2020 20:27

TheBouquets

It is about mumsnet.

If you see or sanction any of this and anyone on mumsnet finds out they will work out where you are (your data is not secure) and you will be reported to the police.

Mumsnetters say DO NOT GO OUTSIDE YOUR FRONT OR BACK DOOR EVER FOR WHATEVER REASON MUMSNETS SAY SAVE OUR NHS,

Bubblebu · 14/04/2020 20:28

save our NHS

Bubblebu · 14/04/2020 20:28

mumsnet says save our NHS. do NOT leave your house for whatever reason at any time.

Bubblebu · 14/04/2020 20:30

NoIDontWatchLoveIsland

very very irresponsible to allow your toddler to play on the drive.

stay INSIDE

save our NHS.

NoIDontWatchLoveIsland · 14/04/2020 20:32

Bubblebu

are you taking the actual piss?

In April young children's vitamin D levels are at their lowest. Time outdoors is critical. The drive is the only part of my property in the sun. Fuck right off if you think I'm keeping my kids indoors. They are never within 5m of another human.

Heygirlheyboy · 14/04/2020 20:34

This happened here today, 6 children from 3 families playing. I judge these parents completely tbh, two of the families have both parents home. Absolutely no need for it. Are the parents unable to say no or are they happy to get the children out from under their feet?!

Winnietheshit · 14/04/2020 20:37

I don’t understand what’s going on here! My gang play in the back garden together and shout to next door, but that’s it. The v sensible dad next door stopped them playing ball over the fence when I wasn’t looking. They leave messages to each other in chalk on the patio or front drive. I didn’t think we were doing anything wrong!

Smileyaxolotl1 · 14/04/2020 20:40

bubblebu
Assuming you are not mentally ill.
It’s all big joke is it?
Thousands are dead and you think it’s appropriate to make a big joke out of the fact that some people are trying to follow the guidance. (Obviously I am aware that the examples you are given are supposed to be humourous exaggerations of people on mumsnet who have genuine concerns about mixing of households or neighbours making frequent unnecessary journeys)
I assume that no one you care about has died.
Please grow up.

maddiemookins16mum · 14/04/2020 20:45

You must live on our street, 6 kids all out playing together 😫😫😫😫
