Can anyone recommend a food processor/blender?

Posting for traffic.
Ideally under £100 but willing to stretch if it's worth it.

Looking for a food processor and smoothie maker.
Requirements

  • powerful enough to make nut butters
  • smooth smoothies (I can't stand chunky drinks)

Bonus for anything that makes dough - but not essential.
Finally hoping to upgrade from my cheapie leaky blender my DM bought me when I moved out.

Has anyone got the holy grail of blenders?

Thank you

So I would say that if you want something that makes nut butter and potentially dough as well, you really need a food processor as a blender wouldn't do either of those things that well. A smoothie you can do in either. I now have a giant Magimix, but I upgraded from a £99 Bosch where you could swap for either a food processor bowl or a more blender style jug which was one of the Which? best buys at the time.

Now a bit more than £99, sorry, but not by much, and to be fair I bought mine years ago...

Thanks.

How does it do with smoothies?

I must admit I can't remember using it for smoothies, but it was strong enough to crush ice to make margaritas!! (Can you tell I had it when I was a student...haha)

A Magimix doesn't purée as fully as a blender, but it is fine to me. I use mine to do soup rather than smoothies though. It has made nut butter and dough. I like it a lot but £100 would mean getting a second hand one.
