Is anyone else watching this?! He is literally ranting like a man possessed, I've never seen anything like it. He's declared war on the media (I know we're used to him lashing out at journalists but this is on another level)

I'm watching it on CNN and they have breaking news straplines like "Trump uses task force briefing to rewrite history on coronavirus response", "Angry Trump turns briefing into propaganda session" and "Angry Trump uses propaganda video, produced by government employees at taxpayers' expense"

He has just said, verbatim: "When somebody is President of the United States, that authority is total"

I thought our daily briefings were bullshit

Did he actually talk for a full fifteen minutes on how amazing his ventilator stock is?

Sorry for my barrage of posts. Ive never given him the time of day before and I'm truly gobsmacked tonight. I'm quite alarmed by him tbh.

He just rambles on and on and on.

He's absolutely unhinged. Have said it before, but you can spot the moments he goes off script, his language descends into the language of a child's.

We've been watching him for weeks on CNN, its fascinating as they run banners underneath with, shall we say, a slightly more realistic point of view.

As for him reopening the States, he simply doesn't have the power to do that, despite what he said last night. Love that he's saying tonight that he will authorise the governors to reopen the States, he can't do that either, but some people won't know that so he's saved his orange face.

Absolutely terrifying. The man is an idiot.

Trump has been feuding with governors over who has the right to end lockdowns.

Experts agree it's the state governors who are responsible for policing their states under US law.

He could have just walked in and whined "it's not my faulllllllt" for an hour.

He doesn't surprise me anymore, his ignorance, lack of intelligence, unbreakable confidence are testament to what money can buy you and a sad indictment on how we choose our leaders.

What scares me is the people defending him or constantly looking to explain his outbursts and weird theories, it is so irresponsible to have that Carol woman on Loose women supporting him everyday and trying to legitimise everything he says and whitewash his racist comments and lunacy

In the Monday briefing he offered "warm condolences"
