My H and his mobile phone use drives me crazy.

It's like his phone is an extension to his body, I'm not exaggerating when I say it's CONSTANT.

If he's not on his group chat on WhatsApp, he's on Facebook, if he's not on Facebook he's on Twitter, if he's not on Twitter or watching YouTube videos. If he's not doing that he's playing on a game.

The second he gets up he's checking it. Last thing he before sleep he lays in bed on it.

He goes to the toilet for 20 mins just playing on his phone.

This isn't a lockdown thing either, it's been like this for years and I'm sick to death of bringing it up as a problem.

Doing anything to excess where it negatively affects your life is too much. What has he said when you've talked to him about it?

upscaled · 13/04/2020 14:50

He will either change for a day or two and then revert back to this. Or complain that all I do it's complain at him...

It's beyond being a little niggle. It actually infuriates me. He ignores our child when he's talking to him because he's that engrossed in his phone.

DH is exactly the same, he also needs it for work so that's his excuse but sometimes it really annoys me!!

upscaled · 13/04/2020 15:13

Hmmm, if it was for work I could understand slightly but this is just sheer ignorance.

I may as well not even be in the room 90% of the time.

My husband is the same...and if it's not his phone it's his book. What infuriated me most is that it forces me to become default parent because my 6 year old daughter knows she's got more chance of an immediate response if she asks me. Pisses me off!!

It's just incredibly rude. He's now been on his PlayStation for two and a half hours whilst I look after our child. This happens most days too.

If he’s on the toilet for 20 mins with his phone I would think he’s having a wank

upscaled · 13/04/2020 17:44

In that case, he's having a lot of wanks Grin

Mines the same. What get my goat is he messages him friends for ages but replies to me are really short Hmm

upscaled · 13/04/2020 18:43

Yep - similar hear. When I'm with him his phone is attached to his hand constantly yet if I'm out and send him a message I don't get a reply for hours...
