Small thing but I think lockdown has shortened my rope

Argh I know it's so irrelevant, and there are far bigger issues in the world so please take this as relatively light hearted.

I asked my son's dad to call me when he was leaving his to drop my son back (allowed visitation) so that my youngest (SEN) would have half hour to hide his eggs for his Easter egg hunt, next thing he's walking through the door, youngest was very sad and eldest was peeved we hadn't bothered to do him a hunt, his dad 'forgot' to call, as he always does, argh I know it's pathetic and small world problems but yes it's wound me up

Annoying yes but why didn't you hide them earlier instead of waiting for a phone call?

If dad always ‘forgets’ things, then the best thing to do would of been to hide the eggs anyway earlier in the day surely ?

I mean you know you can’t rely on dad to remember, so why did you think he’d suddenly remember yesterday.

Could you do an egg hunt today?

It was just that youngest wanted to do it and selfishly I didn't want to wake her up, son was back way earlier than I'd been told, as I say my own silly fault but yes I guess I have less tolerance for ex at min, light hearted as I say and I just got him to hide in his room whilst she set it up, she's ASD some likes things done a certain way
