I've just returned to MN after a fair absence (needed some advice about something) and see that this is about to become available. I won't be paying, but will you?

I think the site's better without the edit feature. Being able to edit posts will mean that many threads end up being unreadable as posters don't get to hear what they wanted to hear and delete their posts before flouncing.

There are plenty of other features the site could do with, like a quote function. Most useful to me would be some icon next to a thread which takes you to the first post that you haven't yet read. It would save so much time currently spent looking through huge threads wondering how far I got last time. Every other forum I post on has one.

There is a bookmark function @BadLad.

BadLad · 06/05/2020 23:34

There is? How do I bookmark a place in a thread?

BadLad · 06/05/2020 23:38

Never mind, found it by exploring - seems they were turned off.

Well that's cool.

Just the quote function then.

Sparklingbrook · 06/05/2020 23:39

On a laptop I think you switch it on in Customise then you start getting the option when you hover over the last post in a thread on the right hand side.
On my phone (I don't have the app) the option comes up with a little symbol and 'Bookmark' to click on.

BadLad · 06/05/2020 23:41

On my phone I had to turn the function on in the customise menu.

Never seen it actually inside the thread before.

Anyway, much obliged.

Ah ok, hopefully it will be useful.
