RIP Tim Brooke Taylor, an under rated but exceptional comedian, who thoroughly entertained an uncontrollable mob of mixed race kids back in 1978, when nothing else (except Tizwas) quite hit the mark. Thanks from my Mum Tim, thanks a lot. xx

YABU - only because my favourite episode is “It Might As Well Be String”, (string, string, string - I am always singing this!), and my brother loved “Kung Fu Kapers” (the one with Ecky Thump). I loved TBT and The Goodies - may he Rest In Peace.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 13/04/2020 09:44

I loved the Scouting one.

The thing I found disturbing was that I was instantly word perfect on the Goodies' song. Jesus, I was 16 when this was first broadcast, and those lyrics are still cluttering up my hard disk.:o

Thanks for posting this.

To the blessed memory of Tim Brooke-Taylor.😻

The Goodies was our fav family show in the 70's.

caringdenise009 · 13/04/2020 10:08

Will never enjoy a song as much as Tim's rendition of Tiptoe through the Tulips- only Jeremy Hardy could do worse....

NeedToKnow101 · 13/04/2020 10:13

The Goodies was brilliant RIP Tim.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 13/04/2020 10:15

OMG - I forgot 'Apartheight'! Poor Bill.

Thanks, caring

Here's one version, though the thick as shit TV muppets introducing this noble show to a TV audience is cringeworthy:

My DBro gave me the collection on DVD for my birthday. One of the best presents I've ever had.

I do remember being terrified by the episode where they were eaten - unsettled me for what seemed like ages!

Wow. Harsh. They didn't really say much 😂

fuckinghellthisshit · 13/04/2020 12:49

So so good.
When DH and I were students we used to get the bus to Bradford and hang out in 'TV heaven" at the Media museum watching endless Goodies reruns.........
