To ask if there's anything you'll miss about the LOCKDOWN once it's over?

The one thing I will miss is getting ready so quickly in the morning and not having to waste time putting makeup on or blow drying my hair!

The first week my face was detoxing and broke out in spots. I just applied a light No7 moisturiser and lip balm and now skin is completely clear and looks brighter for the 1st in years. Even DH has noticed! The dark circles under my eyes have also gone from all the extra sleep! I haven't bothered with applying serums etc to my hair either and that seems to have rejuvenated itself as well with more bounce and shine in it!

The amount of money we spend on these beauty products is crazy and this lockdown has made me wonder if we need any of them at all!

So what will you miss if anything?

The quiet. I live on a busy road near an airport so the difference is very noticeable.

I'll miss the cleaner air too.

Pinkdelight3 · 12/04/2020 13:04

Getting up later. I'm still working full days (from home) but starting later and LOVING not getting up for the schoolrun. I'm so much happier and less grumpy with everyone when I don't have to get up before 8am.

Outtedagain · 12/04/2020 13:04

No. My life has been turned upside down. I want to get back to routine and fast, this idling is really bringing me down. I’ve become incredibly lazy.

Isleepinahedgefund · 12/04/2020 13:05

I'll miss the cleaner air and the quiet. I live on a main road in a big city and I'm really enjoying listening to the birds Smile

ilikebooksandplants · 12/04/2020 13:05

I am hating almost every minute but I do have a lovely boyfriend and a lovely cat and being lockdown with them both isn’t so bad.

Isleepinahedgefund · 12/04/2020 13:05

Also going in the local shops and having them to myself - loving that! 😂

Roominmyhouse · 12/04/2020 13:07

Working from home. My drive to work is 45-60 mins each way. Having that time back has been lovely, I’ve got more exercise than ever as I’ve got time and energy to do it!

malificent7 · 12/04/2020 13:07

I can cycle on the raods with virtially no traffic. Im an anti social lazy bum so this suits me...

Xmasbaby11 · 12/04/2020 13:09

Not really. Nice not having to rush round but I do miss freedom so much.

twinnywinny14 · 12/04/2020 13:09

Time to spend with DH, we normally work 60 hrs a week so barely have time together. Also walking the dogs every day and being able to complete things without a mad rush or dash. Time to bake and make, and just enjoy life

Rezie · 12/04/2020 13:11

Working from home, not wearing makeup, quiet roads, regular walks, regular vidoecallls with friends who live far away.

MarieQueenofScots · 12/04/2020 13:12

I’ll miss my daughter for sure.

Although the method it’s been achieved through isn’t desirable, I will always treasure the extra time we’ve spent together.

makingmammaries · 12/04/2020 13:13

Working from home, not rushing around. Having time to do things with the children and even do a bit of gardening.

captainpantbeard · 12/04/2020 13:14

Doing PE every morning, no commute, not feeling obliged to make an effort or be sociable, quality time with ds.

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 12/04/2020 13:14

Clean air, hardly any planes & quiet roads (London)

Mylittlepony374 · 12/04/2020 13:15

Not having to deal (in person) with in-laws. I feel so much more free and less judged.

Sparklywolf · 12/04/2020 13:15

The quiet roads, I'm a home care worker and although it's scary and stressful at the moment the driving around had been blissful.

Sharpkat · 12/04/2020 13:15

Hearing the bells of York Minster. It is a mile away. Never heard them before lockdown at all.

DrDiva · 12/04/2020 13:17

Wearing slippers to work.

Jjjjjj1981 · 12/04/2020 13:18

Not having to wear a bra! Made it to a month so far

Besom · 12/04/2020 13:19

I feel under less pressure. Pressure to do social things I mean. But ask me again in another few weeks as I'm sure I will be missing going out and wantjng to be busy again.

Geraniumblue · 12/04/2020 13:20

The quiet. The time to enjoy the birds and the flowers. The ability to be at home and not feel I have to be productive. As much sleep as I want. Relaxed dh. The clear air.

Ragwort · 12/04/2020 13:23

I am much fitter ... doing exercises at home and 4-5 mile walk every day is great .... the reality is that I could fit this into my daily routine, I work part time, no DC at home ... so why don’t I? Blush

Poptart4 · 12/04/2020 13:25

I'll miss the slower pace of life. No rushing from work to school runs to kids clubs, dinner, homework etc.. it's nice having nothing to do. For awhile anyway, I couldn't live like this forever but im going to enjoy it while it lasts.

zigaziga · 12/04/2020 13:25

Hearing the bells of York Minster. It is a mile away. Never heard them before lockdown at all.

That’s lovely. We have a big church about 200m away and you could always hear the bells before but somehow I noticed it much less than I am doing now. I love being in the garden when the bells go every hour.

I’ll miss loads actually. I didn’t think I would be any good at parenting without going places - libraries, museums, playgrounds etc - and actually I am.
