Stressed out at being coughed all over

I have tried my best to follow the social distancing rules and worn gloves, glasses and a mask out . I don’t really think the mask is that useful but I think it’s like a security blanket .
After a really safe two metres spaced out shop floor shop, I was paying at the till at Aldi when the cashier suddenly coughed and coughed all over me . It was at the end where you pack so there was no visor . She had to leave her till point to get water as she was coughing so much and then came back a few minutes later to finish my order. She came back looking really flushed and still breathing deeply . She said it was hay fever but now I am really worried she had the virus . Am I over panicking ??

She might have just had hay fever, a dry cough or needed a drink if stuck at till for long time. YANBU to worry though.

Happened to me in Tesco, idiot coughed into our faces in an aisle uncovered. Try to let it go. We risk getting it whenever we're out in various ways and you can't do anything about it now. Just keep.healthy if you can.

I wouldn't have been impressed with that either! Why didn't she cough into her arm or at least turn away?

KellyHall · 12/04/2020 08:24

I'd have been furious. There's no reason to not cough in to one's bent elbow as we've all been instructed. Even coughing away from you would have been something!

Yes I suppose unless we live in a bubble there’s little we can do about it . It just freaked me out, I have found some customers in supermarkets are not following the two metre rule too but that’s a complete another subject 😞

Hopefully the next 14 days you will show no symptoms and be okay. Fingers crossed for you
