To ask if Tesco have bedding plants?

Obviously I'm not going to make a trip just to buy them!

However I have had a FSM voucher that is specific to Tesco and we will need fresh fruit/bread/ham etc by next week. Will a largeish Tesco have plants that I can pick up at the same time? I just want a few trays of bedding plants to do some gardening with the kids next weekend, we have planted summer flowering bulbs but our wall troughs etc are bare. Gardening is really important for my mental health and whilst I'm supportive of lockdown measures, some colour blooming over the next few weeks would really help.

My tesco had plants but they’re on the other side of the tills so I didn’t see them until I’d paid. Their dirt was also where people were queueing to get in so I couldn’t get to it.

Our tesco has plants, but not convinced they had bedding plants last week. They had some shrubs and perennials, along with grow your own fruit and veg stuff.

Thank you, I will take a look when I go. I saw some outside Aldi when I passed on a work visit but don't really want to go trawling around lots of shops.

Ours had shrubs etc and loads of compost. I think it's a bit early for bedding plants. I'm in North Lincolnshire and the weather forecast for the coming week mentioned some wide spread ground frosts.

You might have to wait until the end of April/ start of May for summer bedding plants. They'll likely get them in in due course as long as the food supply chain continues to stabilise.

Have you looked online for plants for delivery?

LadyEloise · 11/04/2020 15:28

Tesco in our area does have plants inc bedding plants from time to time. I've had to go the manager a couple of times because they are not looked after and dry out wither and die, can't be sold and then are just thrown out. Sad

If you have Lidl nearby they have a selection of bedding plants in from Thursday this week according to the website.

Yes our tesco has them, I made a special trip after the government said if its in the shops you can buy it.My patio is looking great, a lot of neighbors have popped around and commented on how nice it looks. Its nice to bring joy to others, and have a cuppa with friends

I wouldn't get bedding plants yet, unless you've got somewhere frost-free. It's hard to imagine frost after a warm sunny day but there's some colder nights forecast next week and who knows what it will do after that.
