My older son swears Scrotus is medicated. He says he doesn't know if he's addicted to opioids or benzos and pops them himself or if someone is slipping them to him to keep him from totally losing his shit live on TV.

IDK, but he certainly does appear as if he's on something. The slurry speech, the little 'blip' when he loses of his train of thought then recovers it, even the fact that he appears to have to work to focus his vision at times.

I'm not completely finger pointing. It wouldn't be the first time a POTUS was medicated. It's pretty well accepted these days that JFK at times was on pretty heavy pain meds for his back and that he and Jackie took 'energy' injections from some doctor that were probably 'more than vitamins'.

Yes, course he's addicted to opioids, Adderall seems to be the drug of choice. Look at the sniffing, the wild behaviour, the mangled words on and on, the attention span, it's obvious.

And there is that picture of a drawer of Trump's desk full of prescription meds all the same sort and many months' supply -- but that was Sudafed not Adderall, and Sudafed really isn't much use for getting you high though it is a reasonable anti-congestant.

The thing which makes me most inclined to believe that Trump uses drugs is the story from May 2017 that "President Trump's personal housekeeper found President Obama's drug stash during a deep cleaning of the White House." If he is saying Obama did it that seems to me good enough evidence to suggest that he is doing it himself, since he always accuses others of what he does himself.

A pandemic is not a war, and should not be thought of as one. You can't fight any other nation in order to get rid of a virus. I just hope very much indeed that Johnson at least might have enough brain and sense to notice this fact, unlike Trump with his "I'm a war President" bullshit.

There were some recent news in Portugal that Johnson had asked the EU for help. I hope so.
Europe will get through this more easily if countries are able to coordinate. I've seen that some less affected countries have sent health workers or have received patients from other countries.

It looks like NY has also been getting help from the outside, not quite thanks to the Federal government.
