DP had to pop into town this morning to do an essential errand for his elderly mum who isn't able to leave her house.
Just before going out, he said that he'd pick up some soya milk while he was out because we've only got a couple in the cupboard and although he's doing the big weekly shop later, the supermarket are limiting people to 3 cartons.
I asked him not to because we're supposed to try to limit the number of shopping trips and I think we can manage with what we've got.
He's just got back, had been to the shop that he said he was going to (I wish he hadn't but accept that he's a grown man and can make his own decisions).
My AIBU is this. He bought a grand total of 3 items (things we eat but by no means essential basics) but didn't get any soya milk because "you asked me not to". I tried explaining that it was the additional visit to a shop that I wanted him to avoid but if he was in there it would have made sense to buy more stuff including the bloody soya milk.
His response? "Why do you always want to start an argument?" and "I'm not listening."
Sorry for the boring post and yes, I do know that there are zillions of similar ones (btw, in anticipation of some of the replies: if this is a pointless thread, why didn't you just stop reading after the first paragraph?)
I just needed to get it off my chest so I'd stop stewing over it and get on with doing something more useful and, at the moment, there's nobody I can grumble to in RL.
