To go to B&M?

I want to sit out in the garden today as the weather is lovely but we’ve got no sunscream.

I don’t want to go to Tesco (queues are massive) so WIBU to go to B&M as it’s open?

I guess it isn’t essential essential but really don’t want to spend all weekend sat inside!

YANBU at all. Go and enjoy the weather!

OwlinaTree · 11/04/2020 10:43

It's essential to your health.

ofwarren · 11/04/2020 10:44

Sun cream is an essential so you don't burn.
Go for it!

Fatted · 11/04/2020 10:46

Not at all unreasonable. I need to go to boots because it's the only place that makes 8hour sunscream that doesn't bring me and my DC out in a rash.

I also need some sunglasses because mine have broken. Some idiot will argue its not essential, but seeing as I have to drive into work every day ATM, I do actually need to be able to see whilst driving.

B&M here has also had massive queues so might not be any better than Tesco. I'm in disagreement to isn't essential and could easily be bought from supermarket on the next shopping trip, it isn't something I'd make a journey for.

fodderbeet · 11/04/2020 10:47

Does it sell food too? Get a decent basket full and 'bank' yourself a couple of extra days before you need to go out to a shop again.

Belledan1 · 11/04/2020 10:51

I am thinking of going to go home bargains today too to get some basic groceries. Major Supermarkets by me have been mad. Queuing for 2 hours. There is an Iceland next door to there. So hoping between the two can get everything and not go out all week then.

Ihatesocialmedia · 11/04/2020 10:53

Queue at our b&m is as bad as supermarkets

Mrsjayy · 11/04/2020 10:54

Our B&M was queued round the car park last week it is the same rules but it is open so go.

Oysterbabe · 11/04/2020 10:57

I'd do it.

perniciousdot · 11/04/2020 11:02

It probably won't be less busy, but you can go out to buy suncream if you want. Do you not have any other shops or chemists local though? Our spar for instance has been reported locally as quiet, I would pay an extra pound for suncream there than spend on fuel to stand in a queue to get into B&M

sunfloweryy · 11/04/2020 12:23

Thanks all. I went. There was a tiny queue but less than ten mins. I bought some food too so felt a bit better. There were people coming out with garden furniture and stuff as well. Massive queue had built up when I walked out and I could’ve only been in there 10 mins! Glad I didn’t dither Smile

Now sat out in the sunshine where I shall stay. Hope you all have a pleasant weekend ☀️

I went in end to HB. had to queue a bit but fine The man on till said if these sort of shops are on an industrial park they are mad but town centre one like I went to is quieter. Got fresh stuff there too so no need go iceland.
