I'm happy to clap, but....

I have a 7 month old baby and although I think clapping for the NHS/key workers is fantastic, people banging saucepans/beeping horns etc is going too far? Surely this will wake small children/babies (and in a potentially startling way!) it also could wake up people who are unwell/elderly.

I raise this as there is a local Facebook group to where I live where people are saying they'll be there with saucepans etc!

So in summary, claps, light cheers - great! Banging/yelling/beeping - please no!

I have a child who rarely sleeps of course the only time he EVER goes to sleep around 8PM is thursday the clapping fine the saucepans fireworks beeping horns not so much

@RedHelenB
Mental health is an extremely important part of this pandemic. An overtired baby, can result in multiple wakings during the night, resulting in extreme loss of sleep for parents, which on top of all the other stresses, can take them to breaking point.

But maybe I am bu. I probably wouldn't have thought about it being an issue pre baby 🤷🏼‍♀️
