How can I stop fixodent paste being stuck in the tube

Posting here for traffic.
I hope everyone is staying well. My Fixodent paste (used for fixing dentures) always sticks in the tube, after using it a few times. I try placing it in hot water, storing in a cool dry place and using a needle to clear the tube. None of these work and I end up throwing it out. This is not only expensive but during lockdown difficult to manage.
Does anyone have any solutions please? Many thanks.
Happy Easter x

Is it because air gets in the tube? I'd put a clip on it (one of those plastic one's you get in Ikea/Poundland) so it's all squeezed tight and see if that helps.
As an aside when life goes back to normal, ask at your dentist if they have any samples. We always have tons and the little sample tubes are excellent for carrying around and are less at risk of gunging up.

Are you putting the cap back on securely immediately after using OP?
Sometimes if it's stored in a cold or cool area it can make it difficult to squeeze out.
I've been using it for years and never had a problem.
Squeeze a little out onto some tissue prior to use as the bit in the nozzle can harden up, even with replacing the cap immediately.
Keep it somewhere warm, but not too warm.
Also, wipe the nozzle before replacing the cap.

That's great advice, @ColourMyDreams, Thank you
