To fund my cats habit

My cat is addicted to spider plants and nip. Is it healthy for me to keep funding this? He's a house cat, i give him nip and he rolls around swatting imaginary spiders, he's munched his way round several spider plants. Hes a lovely cat but for days after taking his nip he's an absolute demon on a come down. Should i stop the Nip or continue? He gets quite aggressive looking for it and i don't know if i can cope with this in lockdown. Yabu= he's a fucking cat, cut him off
Yanbu= keep giving him his fix
Name change for this but been here a while, Mexican house thief, pom bear, penis beaker

He sounds like he’d be great fun at parties!! 😂
Keep feeding his habit. I’d be pissed off if I couldn’t drink wine anymore, especially now I’m stuck in the bloody house until god-knows-when.

Ellmau · 10/04/2020 00:08

How much do you love him? ;)

alltoomuchrightnow · 10/04/2020 00:08

Indulge him! He's worth it ;)

Thank you so much for making me laugh. The name clinched it!

Nipdealer · 10/04/2020 00:16

Obviously i love him but I do feel like he should be in rehab. Cat fangs are sharp,he has his area and if i cross it I'm expected to supply nip. Honestly it's like a fucking toll for haunting his house

You shouldn't stop his habit cold turkey without an open spot in a feline rehab facility

mous · 10/04/2020 01:34

He's high off a dab of catnip for days?? Are you sure you are not giving him cocaine by accident

mous · 10/04/2020 01:34

Keep playing Trainspotting until he gets the message.

SpringIsSprung1 · 10/04/2020 02:58

Cats, like dogs, eat grass. He's eating your spider plants as a substitute. Maybe grow a tub of regular grass for him?

Im proper laughing!
I fund a dreamies habit for three of themGrin

Sparticuscaticus · 10/04/2020 04:11

🤣 your boy is an addict who's not very nice in the nip. I'd cut him off!! How are you getting your stash in during lockdown? Nip dealer?

I cut my eldest off months ago as he goes psychotic on nip. He also finds it in the cupboard and helps himself so instead of furry purry cuddles to wake me up I get a very early morning swipe in the face and bitten hand for my "make-our-breakfast-slave!" call (to find the nip tin on the floor and remnants of the nights shenanigans all round the kitchen)
He's a sweet soul otherwise but not on the nip.

He went cold turkey months ago. I've realised he can't stop at the one pinch, it's an addiction ... 🤪

Regular grass? 🤔🤔

TheUnquestionedAnswer · 10/04/2020 05:37

I think you should change his name to Acid Casualty Cat

Bobleywobley · 10/04/2020 06:39

Is it me or is it sickening to let a cat eat something hallucinogenic (spider plant) that could scare them. How awful.

Oldestchild90s · 10/04/2020 06:53

Nips anonymous?

PatricksRum · 10/04/2020 06:55

Agree @Bobleywobley

AmelieTaylor · 10/04/2020 06:57

It's not good for him. If you love him you need to stop giving it to him. Well actually, whether you love him or not you need to stop supplying him!

vanillandhoney · 10/04/2020 07:10

In all seriousness he shouldn't be eating them - they can cause hallucinations and stomach upsets in cats.

NewtonPulsifer · 10/04/2020 08:15

Whatever you do, do not let him drive!

SpringIsSprung1 · 10/04/2020 08:17

'Regular grass' = lawn grass not the other kind! He's getting enough wacky stuff as it isGrin

attillathenun · 10/04/2020 08:46

Sounds like your cat needs an intervention and a trip to rehab

On a serious note are the spider plants actually good for the cat?
