To be worried about postman interaction?

I suffer from severe health anxiety in general anyway. This coronavirus situation has made this much worse. Today the postman knocked on the door, he stood back when I answered but was probably on a metre away. We had maybe a 10 second conversation. He was trying to deliver a parcel to the wrong house. I explained and he went away.
I haven’t left the house in 3 weeks, not even to exercise or shop. We have been lucky with online deliveries and have a big enough garden so I have minimised our risk of catching anything to as low as possible. This postman interaction is really playing on my mind. AIBU to think this is how we could all catch it and undo all of my hard work?

Op is perfectly entitled to post questions on here without having
to run the gauntlet of nasty replies. Give it a rest.

Op, perhaps put a box outside your door marked 'post and parcels'
so you don't have to answer the door at all. In this lockdown climate
I wouldn't answer the door to anyone tbh.

I’m genuinely sorry for your condition, I really am, and don’t think I’m not familiar with the effects of it, but you HAVE to apply logic and visiting your irrational fears on others in a public forum won’t help.

You’re not going to get Coronavirus from a 30 second chat with your postie.

I read that the 2m distancing was based on coughing distances. If he didn't cough, you've not got a problem

Well for a start there is no reason for you to think the postman had Coronavirus, and if he doesn’t the chances of him passing it to you are zero.

The risk is low from that contact.

But the chance that you, like most of the rest of us, will catch it at some point is pretty high. And the chance that you, like most of the rest of us, will be fine is also pretty high.

What won't make any difference is worrying about it.
