Is it unevenly distributed or are threads that contain any content that is not kind about anybody in real life quashed on an equal opportunities basis?

For the avoidance of doubt, this isn't a TAAT, rather something I've wondered about for more than today and yesterday. No unkind posting as I don't want to be deleted (the thread and in real life).

That big family get threads quashed quick. And she who must not be named. And the cookery book writer. And the reals genuines lady flying solicitor.

But I'd expect this thread to mysteriously vanish like tweets calling Ellen a meanie...

Zilla1 · 08/04/2020 14:20

Monkey? Is that a big family with a swear chef in or with a monkey chef in or with a footballer in or an Amercian big family with a rapper and reality show or another one I can't think of? I'm rubbish at this. I can guess the cookery book writer but can only think of Mrs Rumpole as she who must be obeyed rather than not named? argh.

Is the flying solicitor married to a TV and Film actor who might ...

Aquicknamechange2019 · 08/04/2020 14:24

Big family = lots of children.

PenguindreamsofDraco · 08/04/2020 14:26

Nah flying lawyer is NOT a solicitor. But is a very womanly woman.

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 08/04/2020 14:28

Big family:

Cryptic clue: they are knows as 90s High places.

Monkey, do you write crosswords or have you missed your calling as a crossword creator?

OP posts:
zonkin · 08/04/2020 14:35

Damn - I'm no good at cryptic crosswords Sad

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 08/04/2020 14:35

my father and me were keen cruciverbalists and would make up ones to swap with each other. He was far superior to me tho.

Grumpos · 08/04/2020 14:36

Jesus I must be daft as a brush bc I have NO idea about those cryptic clues
I actually know who ur talking about but still can’t work our the clues Confused
There’s definitely a method to working out cryptic isn’t there

Merryoldgoat · 08/04/2020 14:40

I feel like I’m reading a foreign language.

OhioOhioOhio · 08/04/2020 14:40

No idea who any of these people are.

Zilla1 · 08/04/2020 14:43

Monkey, that's sweet, Sorry if he's passed given your use of tense.

I'm struggling with some though found your (Scottish) small hill clue funny.

I might add making a crossword of words and phrases meaningful to my DC to my list of things to sort this week during COVID in case I get hit by a bus.

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 08/04/2020 14:46

We might need some quick cross word clues, Monkey.

OP posts:
MarginalGain · 09/04/2020 07:48

What's going on here? Confused

I say George Clooney is no stranger to a super-injunction.

Zilla1 · 09/04/2020 08:00

Nothing to see here, Marginal. I did wonder whether the flying lawyer might have an actor husband in line with what you said but Monkey said that wasn't the case.

OP posts:
Notesfromalankywoman · 09/04/2020 08:07

Blimey! I can’t guess any of those and I thought I was quite good at crosswords! tattle.life is a good place to root around. I only discovered it recently and have no interest in celeb culture at all really, but found some of threads there v interesting and enlightening.

donquixotedelamancha · 09/04/2020 08:08

What's going on here?

MN seem to be pulling a lot of threads about rich and famous people because MNers are mean to them.

In some cases it's because of a few posters breaking talk guidelines (e.g. a thread about Sam Smith where some mentioned he is male) but often it just seems criticising the wealthy and influential is not in the 'spirit of the site' anymore.

Notesfromalankywoman · 09/04/2020 08:11

@MonkeyToesOfDoom if you haven’t seen it already you need to watch the Inside Number Nine episode Riddle of The Sphinx...your description of you and you dad writing clues together immediately made me think of it.

MarginalGain · 09/04/2020 08:16

Ah. I see.

Does MN pull threads about the Beckhams?

willowhazel · 09/04/2020 10:11

This is, errm, interesting.
