Has anyone self isolated more than once?

We had to isolate for 14 days as our youngest son had symptoms, this ended on Saturday just gone. My husband is a key worker and his employer wasnt best pleased that he had to be off for 2 weeks but of course it had to be done.

This morning our eldest son has a temperature of 39.2, it's not gone down with calpol. DH is currently at work and I don't actually know what the protocol is.

The symptom checker is saying to isolate again but, are you meant to isolate more than once? Do you just keep isolating whenever someone gets a temperature or a bad cough? I feel stupid for not knowing what to do but I don't want DH to get in trouble if we have to isolate again.

We're on round two. DS1 had a cracking temperature for a couple of days (though I don't actually think he had covid-19 🙄) but that was us for two weeks. I then managed a grand total of one day back at work, and DH managed 4, before he went down with what almost certainly is covid-19 on Sunday, so we're starting all over again. Both key workers as well. DH is police and his boss wasn't terribly happy but obviously fairly resigned to it. I don't think mine are bothered particularly as they're expecting everyone to do it at some point.

Thanks guys. DH has had the dreaded call to come home again. I don't think our youngest had it either, he was right as rain two days later. Hope your DH isn't too bad with it @AveAtqueVale Flowers

Several of my doctors have isolated more than once as different family members had symptoms. Fortunately once they were tested negative they've come back to work. Appreciate won't have that opportunity in your house hold. But was just giving an example that even our medics are isolating more than once x

Yes, unfortunately without a test to say you’re immune, you have to isolate again.
