...you rearrange your cupboards so the tins are in alphabetical order.

...you organise all your clothes into seasons.

...you spend ages sewing little patterns on socks so you can tell them apart.

You watch a cat out of your window for 15 minutes and don't even realise you are doing it Confused

dementedma · 08/04/2020 09:06

I dusted( with a long handled brush) the glow in the dark planets that hang above my bed. They have been up for years and were furry with dust

Oilyoilyoilgob · 08/04/2020 09:06

@echt so I suppose it more sad to want to see your before and after of stacked wood?! It will appeal to the perfectionist in me 😁

Spied · 08/04/2020 09:14

You take all your dd's clothes out her drawers. Refold them. Sit looking at the empty drawers for ten minutes. Then put them back exactly as they were.

Cookie79 · 08/04/2020 09:27

I emptied the Dyson before vaccing up to see how much dust and lint it collected from the bedrooms.

Stampy84 · 08/04/2020 09:32

@managedmis that actually made me laugh!

Undercoverworker06 · 08/04/2020 09:50

Anyone watch that bag folding video and think"amazing!" No, just me then?

Dontsayyouloveme · 08/04/2020 11:27

Undercoverworker06

It’s is amazing! Do it, it’s revolutionary!

MutteringDarkly · 08/04/2020 11:40

Descaled the kettle
Cleaned out the fishtank
Made an actual inventory of the kitchen food stock
Transferred all the tools from broken toolbox to new shiny one I got for Christmas
Cut my own hair

It's amazing what I will do to avoid ironing or cleaning the windows.

TheCanyon · 08/04/2020 11:44

I got dressed today and blow dried my hair just for something to do.

thebear1 · 08/04/2020 11:44

Cleaned fridge and windows. Don't finish painting the kitchen so you don't speak to soon.

excitedforbaby9 · 08/04/2020 12:09

Rewashed, refolded and re put away all babies clothes... 34 weeks pregnant and I’ll probably end up doing it again won’t i? 🤣

Dontsayyouloveme · 08/04/2020 19:59

I actually put a bit of fake tan in last night, shower this morning, did hair, make up, dressed, went to Tesco!!!!

FawnDrench · 08/04/2020 20:31

Re-folded all my knickers properly, and rearranged them in the drawer in colour order, from light to dark.

Cleaned all the dog's bed area, washed all his bedding, sourced a new (to the dog) duvet which we are no longer using and a newer cover to go on top of his "base layers" - he just looked at me gone out when I invited him to "experience" lying down in his lovely comfy new bed, turned his nose up and walked out sniffily.

Did some dreaded gardening which I absolutely hate and despise doing.

Made a mental inventory of herbs and spices that we may or may not need when this is all over - due to spending far too much time "researching" assorted recipes, most of which I will never ever cook.

Washed the clothes line very thoroughly.

MitziK · 08/04/2020 20:52

Having cleaned the kitchen to near clinical standards repeatedly, you agree to cook with your DP to make the 'thing' you've had an idea about using various ingredients.

This naturally means that you go into the practically sterilised kitchen to find six months of grot has appeared on the draining board underneath three weeks worth of slightly greasy and still covered in food remnants things he's washed up, the bowl is full, the plughole is blocked with food bits, there's crap over the table, the countertops and appliances, along with tins, packets, margarine and bottles that have been inexplicably taken out of the cupboards and fridge, all your expensive knives have been blunted and DP has lost the ability to comprehend what 'put a layer of parchment paper on top of a baking sheet' means and starts quizzing you - whilst constantly complaining you're in his way - about whether a baking sheet is the same as a tin or a pan or a roasting dish and did I make up the name baking sheet deliberately to confuse him.

I made the filling (onion, chard, potato, goats' cheese, cream cheese, Thyme, Nutmeg, pepper). He made pastry. I left the kitchen before killing him. He made the pasties.

And has now announced that the oven doesn't work. The oven I've wanted replacing for over a year because it's temperamental but he has insisted doesn't need replacing.

millmoo · 08/04/2020 20:55

Cut the edge of the lawn with scissors 🙈

happytoday73 · 08/04/2020 21:05

Today I washed & dried all the families coats. Put away winter ones in loft.
Yesterday I went through my underwear/ socks etc and ruthlessly sorted and put away in colour order.

Day before cleaned out and ordered my cleaning products cupboard.
I only let myself do one of these exciting jobs a day...
Ive saved the plastic bag folding clip on Facebook for part of next week's excitement.... Grin

userxx · 08/04/2020 21:12

@millmoo Noooooooooo......... bet it looks nice though 👍

BringMeSunshineInMyLife · 08/04/2020 21:15

You notice a split end in your pubic hair

You must have very good eyesight or very long pubic hair

NotQuitePerfect · 08/04/2020 21:26

@MitziK Grin that made me laugh 😂

LesLavandes · 08/04/2020 21:34

I washed and polished my car... this is a first.

Tomorrow it's the filing. I am dreading this task

Undercoverworker06 · 08/04/2020 21:49

I'll be honest, a lot of little jobs have been done: cleaning out the kitchen cupboards, pulling out the lounge and bedroom, filing etc. I did laugh when dh, who was doing the kitchen cupboards, said he was only doing 2 per day as her wanted to prolong the excitement!
