Is it unreasonable to have a bit of hope?

Just that really. Is it unreasonable to have a bit of hope?

Since 99% of everything on this site right now is CV related, is it unreasonable to have a bit of optimism?

Apart from a scattering of dissenting threads on the subject, it seems as though the consensus is that if you dare to voice some positivity, plans or something that isn't in the 'be more scared / how dare you' hivemind then you are absolutely shit on.

Yes, do what you're told and stay home if possible. Follow the guidelines and don't be selfish...but I get the feeling that this crisis is tapping in to some sort of subconscious longing for Armageddon in a vocal % of people where we stay isolated and alone forevermore.

So...AIBU to have a bit of hope that a semblance of life as we know it will return soon?

I'm trying to be realistic but I have hope too. I really loved my life before coronavirus. Now I've been furloughed and could lose my job if business gets worse, all the things I've been looking forward to are cancelled. So the idea of life getting back to normal is keeping me going right now!

All things will pass, all this will change, and what we did and how we lived before will never come again. But I do hope that afterwards we will have grown as a society and do things differently.
I also hope Trump loses the next election so that keeps me going.
