This is the Facebook page. Worth a try anyway as a decent fitting bra will make a big difference.

Primark maximise your assets ones! I have slightly hypoplastic boobs and even I feel good in them. And best of all they do a bikini range for holidays Grin

I'd say at a 10-12 it's definitely worth checking your measurements. It is possible to be a 32 band (as people are a variety of shapes) but it would also be very normal for you to be smaller.

If you don't feel like actually measuring (or can't find a tape) then try putting your bra on back to front - I'm sane I swear, the idea is that you basically want to take the cups out of the equation and focus only on the band. So, put it on back to front. Now, pull the band away from your body. How far does it stretch? Can you get a finger, several fingers, your palm, your fist, two fists, your child's head (you get the idea) between the band and your body??

Thanks @Chocsandcrisps I’m gonna give it a whirl!

@Chinks123 can you post a link to buy them please? I thought I was 34a but after mn intervention I was actually 32b and it’s fab. I buy gap T-shirt type bras and they give a good shape.

Jellybean27 · 07/04/2020 22:07

Right. Well my daughter refused to let me try her head, so hands it is. I can get my hand in flat with ease on tightest fitting @StatisticallyChallenged, same in the cup.

Gap! Didn’t even think to try there @Haggisfish

I find bralettes are better than actual bras. You can get them anywhere.

Watch us emerge from lockdown with tremendous (tiny) tits! Grin

Getting the right size is half the job. Lots of women think they’re As or Bs when they’re nothing of the sort.

Do this calculator booborbust.com/

IsoBordem · 07/04/2020 22:11

I used to work as a bra fitter. All the advice pointing towards balcony bras may be incorrect as this style does not work for everyone. I have fluctuated between a B cup to an E cup and have never been able to wear this style! I’m just not full enough on the top so there’s always a gap and am much better suited to a plunge style.

Every body is different. Go get fitted if you can so you can find what style actually works for you!

StatisticallyChallenged · 07/04/2020 22:11

If it's with ease I think you probably need to go down a band size. The band does 80% of the support, if it's too loose then it will be making matters a lot worse. You should only be able to pull the band an inch or so away from your body. It's imprecise but it does give a rough idea. It can help a huge amount with gaping as it helps the bra cups to stay more upright too. In general when you go down a band you should go up a cup to compensate.

Haggisfish · 07/04/2020 22:25

I do wonder though if the band width tightness thing is different for less endowed women. I’m strictly speaking a 30 band going by that but I bloody hate it as I can barely breathe. My boobs do not weigh anything like much larger ladies so the band will not be under anything like as much pressure.

MrsLeclerc · 07/04/2020 22:29

@Chocsandcrisps I did exactly the same! Wore a 32B for years but after having the baby I knew it was wrong but I wasn’t sure if it was the band or cup that was the problem.

I got measured in Boux Avenue as they came out as one of the most reliable in my research. She took one look, whipped the tape measure out and declared me a 30DD. My face was a picture and I kept thinking of what I was going to say when she brought me huge bras that wouldn’t fit! She was completely right.

I’ll definitely keep an eye out in the Next sale too (when the world goes back to normal).

Eucritta · 07/04/2020 22:33

Haggis, I've always found the same. I feel as if my chest is being strangled by the band. I have also wondered in my case whether it's because the band is doing absolutely no job at all, so is just sitting there and making me feel uncomfortable and trussed up for no reason.

Chocsandcrisps · 07/04/2020 22:33

Just to add Boob or Bust had me at a 28e but I found it too tight for me round the band, so I went up a band size and down a cup size. Good luck on your bra hunt!

TryingToBeBold · 07/04/2020 22:35

Always a bralette.
Cant remember the last time I wore an underwired bra..

bleepbleepbla · 07/04/2020 22:38

I actually find the wonderbra refined glamour bras v good. Give a natural boost rather than looking likes you've stuffed six pairs of socks down your bra.

Pleasedontdrawonyoursister · 07/04/2020 22:43

I’m a 32AA! Literally nothing there I’m like a teenage boy 🤣. Balconette really made me laugh, they would look ridiculous on me. I like the m&s padded t shirt bras. They make me look like a large B which is the best I’m gonna get!

Azera · 07/04/2020 22:48

After I had children my boobs were so different and nothing seemed to make them look less droopy I decided to go bravissimo, they were brilliant I’ve never had bras so well fitted And felt as confident. I know it won’t be open at the mo but I would go there if you can :)

Iwantacookie · 07/04/2020 22:49

Triple boost bras from primark for me. Cheap enough that I always have a stock in my house.

wheresmikeys · 07/04/2020 23:01

www.herroom.com/know-your-breasts/questions.aspx?retake=yes

Is brilliant - it asks you all about your shape (not just your boobs but also your shoulders and chest bone). Then they give you a list of recommendations. Its American but you can use there site then find the same bras on Figleaves.

StatisticallyChallenged · 07/04/2020 23:21

The band doesn't need to be quite as firm on smaller breasts - but what you will often find is that those who are very busty actually end up going down even further (mainly cos we stretch the bands ridiculously fast!)

SlipSlidin · 07/04/2020 23:36

Sorry but mines are huge. Been reduced (on nhs ) they said there was a chance they’d grow back. They did. Stuck with humungous bangers mash till I snuff it .
