To love children's imaginations

My 4 year old DC has a great imagination. He has a friends called spider (who is a spider) they both live in another house round the corner from our house. He has 12 dogs and the stairs are covered in food and spiders Shock
When I told him that I'm not going to his house with spiders and food all over the stairs, his reply was...mummy it's ok they're only plastic Grin

He also said when everyone's better we need to go to Planet City and Planet Moon. I have no idea what to expect from these places but I'm sure it will be fun.

He also came into my room last year and said I don't want to sleep in my room because my toys won't stop talking, I don't know whether to be scared of that one, but we had just watched Toy Story that day.

Please tell me the stories of your brilliant little minds!

Bless him, he sounds precious!

When I was a little girl, maybe 3 or 4ish, I decided to steal Baby Bear's idea and visit the moon in a cardboard box. I packed my teddy and the biscuits, donned the obligatory colander helmet etc, and gathered my family around me to wave goodbye as I climbed into the box in the fireplace. It literally broke my heart when, rather than whooshing up the chimney, the rocket stayed stubbornly put, and my dad clapped his hands and told me it was time for bed. Sad

Ahh that made me smile, it's fantastic to remember little details like that, and how you were so set on that box taking off Smile

That made me smile.

Takes me back to when dd1 was 3 and she had an imaginary friend called Tiny who has a pocket sized kangaroo.
