Do ks1 kids get food vouchers or just pupil premium children?

My dc used to get free school meals as part of the universal free school meals for ks1/foundation children. Are they now entitled to food vouchers from school or is it just for FSM children from families with lower incomes? We won't qualify for fsm when they go to juniors but aren't well off and obviously are noticing the increased food costs now kids off school.

The vouchers are only for pupils entitled to pupil premium, not universal infant school meals

You’ll only get vouchers if you would have qualified for FSM regardless of the KS1 meal for every child.

just for pupil premium.

there are a few reasons why all ks1 kids get free school meals - it normalises eating school lunch so reduces the likelihood that kids on FSM get "othered" and assists schools in teaching healthy eating habits. none of these benefits are delivered by providing a free packed lunch or vouchers to the families of the comfortably off.

Just FSM kids. But I think some parents may not have filled in paperwork as they are all getting free meals anyway & it's a faff doing extra paperwork. So they will be having to quickly apply now so they can get vouchers.
