Have been in with dc for over 2 weeks now. My partner has been going to work. Since yesterday he’s seemed very tired and lethargic (very unusual) and complaining their feeling I’ll but struggling to tell me how it feels. They have been saying their tummy hurts so it could be a stomach issue.. his temperature is elevated but I wouldn’t say high (37.2-37.8 without any calpol and lower after the calpol kicks in) so he hasn’t really got a fever as such even if it is a little higher than his usual.

When I say tired I mean very tired. He has lay around and been in and out of sleep for 2 days which is very unusual!

Nobody on mumsnet could possibly tell you that op

Hmm don’t know but my teen dd had a day and a half of feeling utterly exhausted and feeling alternately freezing and boiling. V flushed cheeks although when I felt her forehead it didnt feel that hot. Now totally better. If that’s what we have got away with then I think we’re quite lucky!

Some people are having upset stomachs with COVID 19 although I do recall a doc telling me when the kids were younger that unwellness in children often presents with a stomach ache (something to do with glands swelling there or something?)

So no help really but I do hope that he is feeling better soon and perhaps you have gotten off lightly - plenty of people do!

Hi OP, I agree with @Drpeppered. Also don’t forget that just because we are in the middle of a pandemic, doesn’t mean that all the other bugs/illnesses have just gone away. It could be anything. If you are concerned I would call the GP if that’s still a possibility for you or 111.

Obviously I don't know if he has it but sounds like your whole house should start isolating for two weeks as per the guidance!! Hope he's feeling better soon, nhs website is pretty useful in the meantime!

OP my son had fever and stomach ache a few weeks ago, plus fast breathing (not sure if chest infection or just the fever). Stomach ache can be symptom of strep. After 5 days of fever doc gave antibiotics and that solved it.

Thank you. I am aware that no one can tell me if he has but I was hoping someone might have some advice or may share if their little ones are the same way. I don’t think I would be taken seriously if I seeked help from a professional. No cough, temperature isn’t too bad he’s just exhausted which is the complete opposite to his usual self. He never sleeps in the day and has been getting adequate sleep at night too!
