Sorry I cany find much info on google. I'm having my first period in a year ish. Been on mini-pill. Came off it a few month ago and haven't has a period but started taking it again recently due to corona.
Anyway. Started spotting and passing some clots- all normal. Noticed when I wiped a big chunk of white fleshy type tissue. Like the white stuff on steaks, not the fat, the bit that you can kind of peel off and is a bit tough.
Not sure what it is is, if I should be concerned, some sites suggest early miscarriage or ectopic.
Just want to know if anyone has had anything like this and if it was anything.
Thanks for your help.
P.s obviously name changed so if someone recognised me from previous posts they dont also know all about my menstruation too!

I'm sorry but that does sound like it could possibly be an early miscarriage. I'd make a note a note of dates etc so you can record it with your GP when this pandemic has died down.

Thank you for responding, I know you probably dont know but do you think I could have caused it by going back on the mini-pill?

The mini pill is progesterone, yes? It could be a (I think they’re called) cervical cast, google if you’re not squeamish. But I would definitely call the GP when you can and as @sorryitspersonal said note the dates.

Sorry I meant @Zoeyclash

It’s probably a decidual cast.

Looks freaky but it’s nothing ominous.

I was going to say decidual caste. Your lining has built up to thicker than usual due to progesterone pill and no period. However, I’ve also had an early miscarriage and passed something very similar. If it’s a miscarriage and you’re still passing stuff, you should still get a positive pregnancy test (assuming you want to know).

Sorry, cast!

Sorryitspersonal · 05/04/2020 23:40

Yeah I thought it could just be a build up of tissue, due the time since my last, its desogestrel I have, a progestin hormone, I think that's the correct spelling. It kinda looked like an umbilical cord coming from it which is what freaked me out. I've looked at pictures of dicidual casts but they all seem like big rocks. Some early miscarriages look like tissue and some look like tiny babies.
Thank you for all your responses, it's a hard time, I really want a baby but didnt want to try to conceive during this and now this, think it just hit a sore spot. And my emotions are just all over the place today!

Decidual casts aren’t hard or rocklike. They almost look like flesh.
