To beg for some advice from a dentist, please?

I have just taken a video of myself to send to a family member that I can't see in person. I look shocking and it's really upset me.

My teeth are a horrible mess and the video has highlighted just how awful I look Sad

I have, in the past year or so begun a long ongoing course of treatment with a good dentist, however their surgery is now closed due to Covid19.

I have a gap with three teeth missing at the front of my mouth - two extracted as a matter of urgency just before lockdown was imposed - is there anything that is safe and temporary that I could procure to make it look less unsightly? I have seen clip on veneers online but they seem so expensive and the reviews are not great at all and I dont want to damage my teeth further?

I am very self conscious about my appearance anyway, my mental health is taking an absolute beating at the moment as it is but I don't know how I can go on facing my partner, colleagues and patients every day when I'm so aware of how crap my teeth look.

I'd really be so grateful for any advice.

Any dentists awake yet?

Oh gosh I have two missing teeth close to the front from an accident and can imagine how you feel. Did they take impressions for a temporary partial denture or anything?

No, I got an abcess the weekend before lockdown and had to be seen at the hospital where they extracted the two teeth. I had two appointments scheduled with my dentist in the weeks following that but they have since been cancelled.

I know its just my appearance but it really is horrid looking and I'm in a public facing healthcare roll so not like I can hide at home or in an office.

I'm not a dentist but please don't mess with your teeth. I know it must feel horrible but it's only a temporary cosmetic problem. Please don't waste money on something off the internet which might make the problem worse.

Thanks Lockheart. I don't want to mess with them if I can help it. I had hoped that there might be a safe, temporary measure which is why I asked - I don't know where else I'd find advice on this and I know trawling google for a solution is not the way to go. My teeth are very damaged as it is and the last thing I want to do is make them worse!
