There’s no such thing as breakfast pudding no matter what time you have breakfast.

OP posts:
iklboo · 04/04/2020 12:48

Do you mean dessert pudding? Otherwise black pudding & white pudding are...well...breakfast puddings Grin

BaronessBomburst · 04/04/2020 12:48

Why not?
Seems like a good idea to me.

cardibach · 04/04/2020 12:49

Pudding is a universal good.

Hoppinggreen · 04/04/2020 12:49

Well DS maintains that “breakfast dessert” is definitely a thing, which is the same but more Mc

BaronessBomburst · 04/04/2020 12:50

I always have trifle for breakfast on New Year's Day. So that's a breakfast pudding.

Smarshian · 04/04/2020 12:50

I’ve had breakfast pudding many times. Eg. Flapjack, muffin, anything cakey- yum!

Coldhandscoldheart · 04/04/2020 12:51

Yesterday’s apple crumble for breakfast is the best kind of breakfast pudding

JigsawsAreInPieces · 04/04/2020 12:51

Why not? As the old saying goes
“Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper” Grin

Lippy1234 · 04/04/2020 12:51

Waffles, cream and fruit, pancakes, maple syrup, chopped nuts and berries, do you mean dishes like that? If so they are definitely a thing.

AmelieTaylor · 04/04/2020 12:52

If you mean dessert after eating breakfast - then I have friends who do this. Their kids think every meal needs to be followed by ‘pudding’. 🙄

ToriaPumpkin · 04/04/2020 12:53

Brrakfast pudding is absolutely a thing. Eat breakfast, eat pudding. It makes mornings infinitely better.

bridgetreilly · 04/04/2020 12:53

If you go somewhere really posh, breakfast certainly comes in courses: cereal/porridge; cooked; pastries/toast. I like to think of them as starter, main and dessert.

ToniBraxtonhicks · 04/04/2020 12:53

I find if I go out for breakfast and it’s super ‘savoury’ eggs, bacon, salted butter etc, I need a pudding of sorts afterwards to even my tastebuds out. Usually something like a hot chocolate does the trick. Smile

bridgetreilly · 04/04/2020 12:53

Their kids think every meal needs to be followed by ‘pudding’.

And scientists wonder why childhood obesity is on the rise!

FireandFury · 04/04/2020 12:54

Yeah I don’t get that either OP. I generally don’t like anything sweet at breakfast but definitely not a dessert.

CodenameVillanelle · 04/04/2020 12:54

If you have two pieces of toast, one with peanut butter and one with jam then the jam piece feels like breakfast pudding.

delilabell · 04/04/2020 12:54

My son insists on pudding after every meal. So breakfast pudding is yogurt. Lunch pudding is fruit. Dinner pudding is pudding pudding

WTFrigg · 04/04/2020 12:54

My son always has a bit of fruit after his cereal - would that count?! 😅

FredaFrogspawn · 04/04/2020 12:54

Yoghurt and fresh fruit maybe?

Although yesterday’s leftover crumble sounds nicer.

DrManhattan · 04/04/2020 12:57

I don't think it is a thing BUT IT SHOULD BE.

I even used shouty caps lol

Escapeistheonlyoption · 04/04/2020 13:00

If there is breakfast wine (and there is in the is house) then there eis breakfast pudding

Black pudding is a breakfast pudding

My breakfast was raspberries, meringue and fresh cream.

ToniBraxtonhicks · 04/04/2020 13:00

I agree @CodenameVillanelle, I could never eat the jam piece first!

AhoyMrBeaver · 04/04/2020 13:01

I had a satsuma for afters this morning because I'd had a savoury breakfast and needed to balance things out a bit. I wouldn't have done if I'd had something sweeter. I don't understand myself sometimes.

anyoneforbingo · 04/04/2020 13:03

Breakfast pudding is definitely a thing..

On Friday mornings at 9am, a team I used to work with used to go to greggs for a sausage cob followed by a breakfast pudding cream donut! Best day of the week! Grin

sandragreen · 04/04/2020 13:05

I have never read anything so unreasonable in my life!! Grin
