Will it take weeks/months to get a refund from Amazon?

I guess we need a crystal ball.

I ordered a Shark Vacuum cleaner a month ago, I didn't realise it was coming from China. After 3 weeks it was still saying it would arrive soon.

Then all of a sudden, Tuesday afternoon this week it changed to say it was delivered on the previous Saturday.

It definitely wasn't.

Amazon aren't answering, they have no phone contact anymore.

I've emailed three times to a company in China (had I known it was a third party in never would have bought the bloody thing). And no response, probably because Chinese life is crazy right now.

It cost a lot of money and it might take months to resolve.

And it dawned on us that our holiday in August will go up the spout (Butlins, a haven for viruses).

Basically I think this is just a venting thread.

Please feel free to add your own!

File an A_Z claim with Amazon.

Unless the vendor can prove the item was delivered you will get a refund.
Is there tracking information? Have a look at events- was delivery attempted? Was it left elsewhere? Signed for or photo etc?

Use the online bot. It is fab and puts you straight through to an actual person if it can't help.

I tried the online bot.
It said I have to contact the seller because they are third party.

The tracking says bugger all apart from dispatched and then delivered. No info other than that. Again they used a third party for delivery.

Had I known any of this I never would have used them.

I bought from Amazon because they are so reliable as is their delivery system. There was no clear indication that this would have been a third party.
