To buy a new tv so I can watch Now tv as I can’t work out how else to do it?

I have 2x TVs in the house. Main tv is not a smart tv but has a Firestick and we watch Netflix and amazon prime on it no worries.

The upstairs tv is a smart tv but a few years old and doesn’t have a Now tv app. I’ve tried searching for one on the tv and it doesn’t show up. Also has a Firestick

So I googled how to get it on a Firestick and put a programme called Downloader on the Firestick. Then put the url for Now tv as per internet instructions. It downloads. I press install. It says installing but then says “app has not installed”. I’ve tried it multiple times.

I’ve seen the new tv stick but the hdmi ports are all full and I can’t be bothered with swapping the Firestick and the nowtv stick over all the time, having an extra remote, etc. I’d just lose them. Why is it all so bloody complicated?

Do you have NowTv on your phones etc? If so, but a Chromecast and plug that in the TV and cast to it (you can also cast iPlayer, itv etc etc )

We have a now tv box you plug into the hdmi socket.

Get a Roku - you can watch all of those channels on there.

Even if you buy a new TV, I don’t think all of them come with Now TV app. Our LG tv does but we have a Sony that doesn’t.

Now tv isn't available on firestick as far as I know. I think you would have to buy a now tv stick, they are pretty cheap anyway. Unless you have a games console in your house, you can download now tv onto those.

Do people with a roku stick find that amazon prime works ok through it? Read a few reports about blurry amazon content.

There were some good offers on Roku sticks earlier this week on amazon. Everything in one place, including disney +.

Roku stick are milesssss better I'm suprised a lot of people I've spoken to dont know about them

I have never had a problem with quality on Prime.

It's a much cheaper solution than buying a new tv.

We bought two Roku sticks within the last few weeks and there great! you get now tv, amazon prime (which works fine) Netflix and can download Disney plus.

Roku make the now tv sticks. It just comes without all the added bloat of now tv and with all the catch up channels.

Right, have ordered one from amazon. Never heard of it before but looks really good.

I love our Roku stick. I can easily flick between itv, channel 4 and 5 (which also have the live TV option) or Netflix and Amazon (which work fine).
I use it every night as I stay upstairs with the baby that wakes a million times
